So, I settled on ZUS after looking at numerous other products that all try to solve the same basic problem: Automatic retention of car location data, with respect to where you parked your vehicle. Zus has a very compelling design: Not only does it work very very well as a parking location device, but it is a fantastic dual USB charger that is able to drive multiple devices at once with no issues at all. It kept my iPhone 5S at 100% while the screen was cranked to the max, it was playing audio via itunes over bluetooth, and actively running google maps/navigation. I have other chargers that will not meet this demand AND also run another similar device at the same time…the ZUS charger has no problem. Also, the build quality is outstanding. Titanium? That is overkill for this application, but I very much appreciate a solid build and this device is delivering WAY above its price point. The App: The app is simple, but well designed. It DOES need to be running all the time on your phone (that is the only downside) but after four days of running the app constantly, I am pleased to report that the total battery usage for the app is 1%! That was my biggest concern with this product, was that keeping an app running in the background can sometimes (if the app is not well designed) really be a big battery drain, but that is not an issue with this app at all. How it works: The ZUS app tracks your location while its running. It also keeps track of when it can talk to the ZUS device in your car. It talks to the device over bluetooth, but does not require exclusive bluetooth use (i.e. you can still be connected to your car or wireless headphones). When the ZUS device either shuts off (because you turned your car off) or if you walk more than 10 feet away from the device, that tells the app that you just parked the car, and it updates your car’s last known location. Simple. Later, when you are looking for your car, just bring up the app and it will show you your current location, and the location of your car. It also has a handy compass view where it tells you the linear (as the crow files) distance to your vehicle (plus or minus 30ft) and the direction of the vehicle with respect to your current location and orientation. That means it works even in an open field, such as you might be parking in for a festival or concert (or camping, etc…). Cons: The only cons are that you MUST leave the app running if you want it to be able to keep track of your vehicle, and since the app uses GPS to derive your location, you will not get precise location tracking anytime you lose GPS…so a multilevel parking garage is a good example of where it this device does not work. The good news is that in a multilevel garage, you can just take a picture of where your car is and usually that is enough to get you back to your car. Improvements: The app should prompt you by starting the camera inside the app to take a picture if it detects the ZUS has turned off while the phone has no GPS. That would be a nice feature to add which would help cover the only real use case where this device fails. I am super happy with the ZUS, happy enough that I bought one for myself and one for my wife and we are both using it.

My honest review. When I heard of Zus and its capabilities, I thought it was pretty cool so I bought one. When it arrived I immediately tried it and it sucked. It lit up and it charged great, but that was it. So I sent the support team an email regarding my issue and concerns. The next day I received an answer from the support team with instructions to resolve my issues. I did what they instructed and my issues were fixed! So now I LOVE this device. Everything about it works flawlessly! On a side note, you should check out the companys website. They sell some pretty cool things!

Overview: the device/app pair delivers what it promises and more. After initial setup, I didnt even have to open the app before/while/after driving and it would automatically connect, leaving a single notification after I parked confirming my location was saved and asking if I needed a parking timer set. The app does an excellent job of accurately leading me to my truck and is very simple to operate. Device: the device is incredibly well made for the price: it feels perfectly dense and sturdy for its surprisingly small size and charges my 6 plus at amazingly fast speeds, Bluetooth always connects well, and the lights on it are bright enough to easily see and not bright enough to be a distraction at all even in complete darkness. Amazingly well done for the price App: the app is very simple and easy to navigate and only sends a single notification right after you park (not sure how often it notifies you if you set a parking timer though) and as another reviewer stated, it uses little to no battery while running. Final: I would highly suggest purchasing this to anyone with a vehicle. Its a practically indestructible charger that charges at lightning fast speeds. Its an incredibly reliable tool for locating your parked car. It pairs beautifully with its simple and reliable app. And its extremely cheap for what it is. 10/10

I suffered a stroke which left me with a severe short-term memory impairment, which translates to never remembering where I parked. Until this came along, very easy to setup and use!

This app is great. Im leaving 3 because I hate that it needs location services always on rather just on while using app. Its made a huge difference in my battery life. Its the only app that runs full time on my phone. Now I have to manually allow and disable when not using to save battery life. If they change to only use while using app. Ill rate 4-5star. Its a hog on my phone battery life. If you force close app it should kill location services from running 24-7. Most important, App should only use location service when app is in use. Once closed it kills that connection. With last update, GPS is always on no matter what. Now I disabled settings and dont use app. Poor choice Why screw up your app. Foolish choices !!!!

We do a lot of traveling and this is a great tool for finding our rental car. We like that it has two outlets one for each of us. Charges faster than our regular cord. Highly recommend.

I use Automatic and this app and the product is by far the most reliable. Works every time and prompts you if you accidentally turned it off. Great!!

Took it with me from Florida to Boston and it worked great for locating the car and scheduling the meter!!! Highly recommended!!

I agree with MOREOFSTEPHEN. This app is a great idea, its just a shame I never get to use it. The reason I never use it is because of the simple fact that the Location always has to be on for it to work. I.e. Your phone battery will be dead within 6 hours just so you know where your car is when you park. All of the other apps on my phone have an option to use Location Services Never, While Using App, or Never. ZUS just has the options Always and Never. So naturally, I set this feature to Never (either that or you will constantly be using Location and draining your battery even when ZUS is NOT running). Most of the times when I actually DO park in a strange place and forget where my car is, I realized that I forgot to turn my location settings on for my ZUS app, and the device never even logged my location in the first place. Super frustrating. Its bad enough that Bluetooth always has to be running for this to work as well, and all this just does not seem worth it for the simple task of remembering where you parked. Again a cool concept, but its a shame that this $25 gadget is essentially rendered useless by a screwy app. I might as well return it and get a regular $5 car charger.

It does what its supposed to do, that is, it helps me find my car in a large parking lot and helps me keep from getting tickets at parking meters.

Perfect for locating parked car. The USB charger would be better designed if the two cables plug in in parallel from the back. As is, they stick out in opposite direction and interfere with objects in storage compartment. But this device is worth using even without its charging utility.

Product is great. Notifies you exactly where your vehicle is located plus the meter timer alerts are on point.
